Hello everyone~
I'm Joe, and today's topic is to teach you to test motors.
Our common treadmill motors are divided into DC motors or AC motors (three-phase motors).
There are 2 ways to test DC motors, as shown in the following video ↓↓↓
1. Test the motor with an external battery.
Using a 3-12V battery, test if the motor turns. Rotate at low speed, the motor is normal.
2. Test the motor with a universal measuring instrument.
Use a "universal measuring instrument" to test whether the "operating current" of the motor is greater than the "rated electric value", or measure whether the "resistance value of the motor" fluctuates greatly, or even infinitely large.
If it is greater than the "rated current value" or the "resistance value" fluctuates greatly/infinitely, the motor is faulty.
AC motor/three-phase motor test method, as shown in the video↓↓↓
Test the motor with a universal gauge.
Use a "universal measuring instrument" to test whether the "resistance values" of the red, yellow and black cables of the motor are the same.
If the "resistance value" of the red, yellow and black cables is the same, such as A=B=C, the motor is normal.
